As one of the five original 1.5 developers for the Dreamcast, Bizarre Creations is expected to have two Dreamcast titles available in Europe around late 1999. One of these titles is Metropolis a city based racing title and the other is Furballs a shooting title starring six obnoxiously cute animals.

For no reason in particular, Furballs was code named Drive By. Originally thought to be a PC only title, Drive By was eventually announced to be a Dreamcast project and given the name Furballs. Despite the game's strange origins, Furballs does have potential to be a very decent seller on the European game market. For some odd reason, games with ridiculously cute characters and plot lines seem to do very well over there. Considering that these are the same people who got into the Amiga, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if they did eat this game up.

Much is unknown about Furballs in terms of gameplay, but from what we do know, the game sounds interesting. Furballs will star six cute characters each with their own specific and unique attributes, weapons and skills. In addition, Furballs promises to blend 3rd person shooting action with puzzles in order to create a unique new type of gameplay. Interestingly enough, the storyline of Furballs is expected to play a fairly large role in the game. The storyline elements should make fans of RPGs happy.

Bizarre Creations has stated that they plan to release more information on each of the Furballs characters in the near future. As soon as we hear more from them in regard to that, we'll be sure to update everyone.
